Now, she’s bringing the community together in a unique way. (WNTH) — A Waterbury middle school educator received a big recognition when she was surprised with the National LifeChanger of the Year award, presented by National Life Group. “She has a big heart, she doesn’t let kids slide and says the tough things when they need to be said—and the loving things when they need to be said,” Principal Sniffin of Waterbury’s Children’s Community School said as she described one of her own.

EAST HADDAM, Conn. (WTNH) — East Haddam firefighters showed up and went all out for a local 5-year-old boy’s homecoming. Lincoln Stanger had spent over a year at the Boston Children’s Hospital, awaiting a donor heart. After a successful transplant, Lincoln was discharged from the hospital on March 20, and state police from both Connecticut and Massachusetts escorted him from Boston to his home in East Haddam. Lincoln’s father is a detective with the Connecticut State Police.
