Unanswered questions still surround shooting death of a Kinston child

Tonight, there are more questions than answers in a shooting death of a 12-year-old boy in Kinston. According to the Lenoir County Sheriff’s Office, the boy was accidently shot by a sibling. News 12 reached out to the Lenoir County Sheriff’s Office and the Lenoir County Department of Social Services who is assisting in the investigation to see what we could find out. Now, based on a statement released by Lenoir County Public Schools, the 12-year-old has been identified as Za’dok Clark.
Pitt County seeks public input on park expansion projects for local areas

The sessions will be in regards to two grant applications for parks and recreation projects. “I think it’s really nice. It especially gives us somewhere to bring the kids. Greenville man faces additional charges after domestic dispute results in officer shot

The man charged with first degree attempted murder of a Greenville officer is now facing several additional charges. Early Wednesday morning 31-year -old Jonas Fucito was taken into custody after more than a 5-hour long standoff with Greenville police officers. The incident stemmed from a domestic dispute. We have obtained the arrest warrants for the defendant, Jonas Fucito. In addition to that attempted murder charge for shooting Greenville Officer, Jeremiah Lovelace Fucito now faces more charges.

Triple-A tonight is telling us that drivers on the road this Easter holiday season can expect to see a fluctuation of gas prices across the Carolinas. News 12 spoke with some people gassing up who say that gas prices are still just too high. Tiffany Wright with AAA says gas prices went down 1 cent overnight in North Carolina and drivers we spoke to at the pumps say prices need to go down even more. Greenville organization seeks public input ahead of transportation changes

The Greenville Urban Area Metropolitan Organization (MPO) seeks public input for transportation changes around Pitt County. It is updating its Metropolitan Transportation Plan (MTP) for Greenville, Winterville, Ayden, Simpson and surrounding areas. "Every five years, we have to update our metropolitan transportation plan; this is a plan that is required by federal regulation to have a vision year of 20-30 years," Planner 1 with Greenville Urban Area MPO Jeffery Rashko said.
Greenville street preservation project set to begin

Beginning the last week of March, 2024, construction will get started on several streets throughout the City of Greenville as part of a street rehabilitation and preservation project. Public Information Officer for the city, Brock Letchworth, said a few years ago, the city's main focus was to mill and resurface streets, but that became too costly. He said that's when the city started to look at other options to include preserving certain streets to get more life out of the pavement.
