The FOX35 Care Force is honoring several Flagler County deputies for their efforts to save a man who was threatening to jump off of a bridge and into oncoming traffic.Fortunately, four nearby deputies with crisis negotiation training responded to the scene. Cecilia Hernandez is a Rollins College senior helping to bring a smile to children’s faces during their time in the hospital. An experience she knows all too well. On campus, Hernandez can often be spotted with her service dog, Canella. "In my freshman year, two weeks before college, I went into emergency surgery, and it turned out that because of my conditions I kept dissociating from my pain," she said. "So I couldn’t tell when something was truly wrong.

A local 911 dispatcher was recently honored with the Florida's Finest Service Award for her actions in saving the life of a pregnant woman. What we know: FOX 35 News first reported about Ashley Willis when she saved the life of a pregnant woman whose 911 call was dropped. Willis quickly sent officers to the woman’s home even though she wasn’t exactly sure what was going on. In 2024, Willis was awarded Telecommunication Officer of the Year for the Indiatlantic Police Department.

Academic tutor Diane Revels focuses her efforts on making sure her students meet their goals and can progress to the next grade.
