LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) - A new monument is in the works at the Kentucky Horse Park that will honor the life and legacy of a Madison County teenager and his incredible bond with a winning racehorse. It became one of horse racing’s most inspiring stories when Cody Dorman first met Cody’s Wish. He had already beaten the odds, but it seems Cody helped his namesake do the same, and now visitors to the Kentucky Horse Park can share in that bond.

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) - As of August 7, 2024, the Justice and Public Safety Cabinet says there were approximately 336 juveniles in custody in the state; however, that number fluctuates daily. In a June interview with WKYT Randy White, the Commissioner of the Department of Juvenile Justice in Kentucky said there was a need to look at providing more mental health and more treatment opportunities for juvenile offenders coming into the system.
