Pressure is building on colleges not to ease up on students who were arrested or charged with student conduct violations during protests against the Israel-Gaza war. Local prosecutors in some cities have dropped charges against the protesters, but many students still face campus disciplinary proceedings. The hearings are expected to extend on some campuses well into the fall, leaving students’ status uncertain as the fall semester begins.
