Maryland's unsettled pattern continues into the start of a new work week. Monday's storms come with a marginal risk for severe weather (one out of five on the threat scale) with the main concerns being damaging winds, hail, and heavy rain. Rain chances continue Tuesday too with scattered showers and thunderstorms especially in the afternoon and evening. Highs will reach the mid to upper 70s. It looks like a break from the wet weather will come on Wednesday.

Rain and storm chances go up this weekend. On Saturday, there is also the chance of scattered showers and thunderstorms, mainly during the late afternoon and evening. The next weather maker will bring some rain to the area this weekend before drying out and cooling down for a couple of days. Also happening today is the arrival of some smoke from the wildfires burning in New Jersey. Fortunately air quality levels are only expected to reach the moderate category. This means most will be unimpacted by the brief period of smokey skies. The weather looks very nice with spring time warm temperatures in the 70s and dry conditions on Thursday.

However the pollen levels are expected to be high through the week. Another chance for showers arrives late Friday but especially Saturday as a larger disturbance arrives this weekend. Between .25" - .5" of rain is expected over the next 7 days.

Spring feel sticks around this week with the next chance for rain coming by the weekend. The weather looks very nice with spring time warm temperatures in the 70s and dry conditions through Thursday. However the pollen levels are expected to be high through the week. Tree pollen is the biggest culprit behind these high pollen levels currently. The only relief comes from some rain late Friday into Saturday. The highest chance for rain and storms comes Saturday with between .25"-.5" of rain expected.
