MADISON, Wis. (WMTV) - Wisconsin softball beat Indiana 10-5 at Goodman Softball Diamond on Sunday afternoon and helped the Badgers claim the series 2-1 over the Hoosiers. Catcher Emmy Wells had four RBIs off a grand slam to lead the Badgers. Emily Bojan also had a pair of RBIs.The game was tied 2-2 in the bottom of the second, Verona native Danielle Lucey had the go-ahead run, keeping a ball fair on the left field pole and putting UW up 4-2.

MADISON, Wis. (WMTV) - The Easter Seals of Wisconsin hosted their sixth annual Celebrity Basketball Experience on Saturday at Madison College. After a skills camp, former UW basketball player came together for an exhibition game. They also played wheelchair basketball against the UW-Whitewater wheelchair team, the National Champions. Brett Valentyn, Mike Wilkenson, Roy Boone, Louis Nzegwu, Taylor Melhaff, Kyle Jefferson, Andy Crooks, Zach Morcez, Jamal Palmer, and Rowan Morley were the celebrities.

AUGUSTA, Ga. (WMTV) - Rory McIlroy won the 2025 Masters with a final score of -11. He beat Justin Rose in a playoff after a bogey on 18 that forced the playoff. This was the twelfth sudden death playoffs at The Masters, and first since 2017 when Sergio Garcia won. With the win, McIlroy became the sixth PGA golfer to win a career Grand Slam.

MADISON, Wis. (WMTV) - WIsconsin women’s softball beat Indiana 6-5 at Goodman Softball Diamond on Friday night. The Badgers took a 3-0 lead at the end of the first, thanks to a two single from Hilary Blomberg that scored two. The Verona grad added a two-run homer in the sixth to put the Badgers up 6-3. Indiana had rallied from a three-run deficit to make it a 4-3 Wisconsin lead in the top of the sixth, before Blomberg’s homer.

MADISON, Wis. (WMTV) - The Badgers are smack dab in the middle of spring ball,-- they finished practice seven of 15 total on Tuesday. Wisconsin has a new man under center-- Billy Edwards Jr. transferred in from Maryland. Last season, he threw for 2,881 yards and 15 touchdowns. He was mid to top tier amongst Big Ten quarterbacks in terms of stats. Luke Fickell said Edwards Jr. has stepped into the leadership role we expect from quarterbacks.
