Wide receiver JuJu Smith-Schuster, who helped the Kansas City Chiefs win a Super Bowl two years ago, will be released by the New England Patriots, a person with knowledge of the decision told The Associated Press. The person spoke on condition of anonymity Friday because the team hasn’t announced the move. NFL Network was the first to report his release. The Patriots signed Smith-Schuster to a three-year, $25 million contract last year but he only caught 29 passes for 260 yards and one touchdown.
