Police are now treating the suspicious disappearance of a 23-year-old Truro, N.S., man as a homicide and the province is offering a cash reward for information that leads to an arrest and conviction in the case. The RCMP says Zachery Vaughan Kellock left his Truro home in a vehicle with two other people around 4 p.m. on Jan. 14, 2024. When he failed to return home two days later, his family reported him missing to the Truro Police Service.

A 30-year-old man has been charged with drug trafficking after police say they seized cocaine from a vehicle during a traffic stop in New Glasgow, N.S., Friday afternoon. A New Glasgow Regional Police officer spotted the man driving a white Hyundai Elantra on East River Road around 1:30 p.m. Police say the driver was known to them for allegedly having a revoked driver’s licence, so they pulled him over.

Police in Fredericton are warning the public about a dangerous and potentially fatal street drug. The Fredericton Police Force says it identified the new substance after arresting a man for drug trafficking on March 12. During the arrest, police say they seized 52.73 grams of fentanyl, including a greenish, rock-like substance that was later tested.

The RCMP is looking for a man suspected of robbing the same restaurant twice in one day in Middleton, N.S.Annapolis District RCMP responded to the first armed robbery at the restaurant on Commercial Street around 11 a.m. Saturday. Police received a report of another armed robbery at the same location around 2:25 p.m. that day. In both cases, investigators say a masked man entered the restaurant and demanded money while waving a knife. He fled the area on foot. No one was injured.
