RM OF KINISTINO – The RCMP Saskatchewan Crime Watch Advisory are reporting a break and enter to a cabin. On June 18, the Melfort RCMP received a report of a break and enter that occurred to a seasonal cabin in the RM of Kinistino. A male and female entered the property and stole some items from the building. The suspects were driving a white Jeep SUV that appeared to have a Saskatchewan licence plate on it. The male was dressed in all black clothing and had the hood of the jacket up.

Wildfire evacuees continued to make their way home in some Manitoba communities Tuesday, but there were hurdles. Tataskweyak Cree Nation lifted its evacuation order Monday evening, then told the community’s 2,400 residents Tuesday morning the return was being delayed due to problems with the water system. “Water tests came back (with) high aluminum. The pipes and reservoir will need to be cleaned and samples taken after the cleaning,” said a message posted on the chief and council’s Facebook page.

A fire in a strip mall is under investigation. Regina Fire fighters were called out to the 4000 block of Rochdale Blvd just before 7:30 last night. They found a fire in a business in the strip mall. The fire was quickly brought under control, preventing it from spreading to near by businesses. No one was injured.

REGINA — The Saskatchewan Health Authority (SHA) is warning the public on June 12 of a possible Hepatitis A exposure linked to a food service employee at the McDonald’s located at 2002 Aurora Blvd in Regina. The SHA says the food handler, who was involved in preparing all meals, worked at the restaurant during the period of potential exposure, from May 25 to June 5. The location, which lies along a major trans-Canada travel route, is frequently visited by travellers.
