Who would’ve thought that Georgia’s dominating beatdown of TCU in the 2023 College Football Playoff title game was going to be the last time we’ve seen the SEC become lords of college football? Although the Alabama Crimson Tide missed out on a chance to host the first weekend of the 2025 NCAA tournament regional round, the path to host a best-of-3 Super Regional is just three, possible four wins away. A massive upset in the Nashville regional with No. 1 overall seed Vanderbilt is also needed, since the winner of the Hattiesburg regional will more than likely be facing the SEC baseball titan.

While an elimination by the Tennessee Volunteers may have ended any hopes of Alabama baseball making final run at hosting spot in the 2025 NCAA baseball tournament, the Tide will still be swinging the sticks in the field of 64. On Monday afternoon, the Crimson Tide were selected as the No. 2 seed in the Hattiesburg regional in the NCAA baseball tournament. They will begin their quest for Omaha on Friday vs. No. 3 seed Miami on. ESPN, time and date to be determined.

Spanish driver Alex Palou’s journey to glory at the Indianapolis 500 takes places over the course of the next few weeks, but Palou got off to a great start on Sunday in Brimingham, AL. Palou breezed to victory for the third time in four races this season by winning the Children’s of Alabama Grand Prix powered by AmFirst at Barber Motorsports Park. The victory was also a historical one for the Chip Ganassi driver.
