CLOVIS, Calif. (KTXL) – Naiaja Sizemore will never forget this day. It is the day she became a state champion in not one, but two events at the CIF State Track & Field Championships at Buchanan High School in Clovis. She had the fastest time in both the 100m dash and in the 200m dash. Sizemore, a junior from Vanden, competed in the summer-like temperatures like everyone else who qualified through the prelims.

OAKDALE, Calif. (KTXL) – The place where you’ll usually find Bas Stice is on the baseball field at Oakdale High School. A junior, he just finished a pretty solid season: .298 avg, 3 HR and 18 RBI. “I think I play aggressive,” says Stice, an outfielder. “Right now, I’m just trying to get to the next level. My goal is Division I, of course, but anywhere that’ll take me, anywhere that I can call home I’m fine with.”The way to get a scholarship is to get noticed. Is there a “best way” to get noticed?

SACRAMENTO, Calif. (KTXL) – The Franklin Wildcats are section champions again, winning the title for the second time in three years on Friday night. Franklin, the No. 3 seed in the Division I playoffs, beat No. 1 seed St. Mary’s, 4-3, at Sacramento City College. “I’m super proud of these boys. We worked out tails off all year, and this is the moment we’ve been waiting for,” said junior infielder Jason Harris. “I saw it in our eyes that we weren’t gonna let up.
