Photo by St. Lawrence Cruise LinesMar 13, 2025One day you find something you never thought about keeps popping up everywhere. Cruising Canada is certainly a thing for non-boaters too. I hadn’t considered that; in my thinking cruising means Caribbean or Greek Islands but stateroom-cruising in Canada it’s very big. Larger passenger loaded boats cruise the Trent, Rideau, Thousand Islands and St Lawrence all summer long. Last issue we discussed that this was the summer to do your cruising in Canada.

Mar 13, 2025Ewen Campbell is at the helm of John Lister’s beautifully restored 5.5 Metre in Midland. Photos credit: Mathew ChannerMar 13, 2025By Mathew ChannerAmong the many shiny new boats at January’s Toronto International Boat Show a surprise contender stood out, a replica of the Starcraft 1957 Ski Champ, taking pride of place near the main entrance. Unless you’re a rabid restoration fan, it’s a replica in all the ways that matter (modeled after the 1956 Chevrolet) plus it delivers 2025 performance.
