Anita GoodanTwo bids for the Lakeshore Drive widening project were opened during the Culver Town Council meeting Thursday, June 12. The project was awarded funds through the Community Crossings Matching Grant program. The project involves the widening of Lakeshore Drive from Academy to State Road 10 and moving sanitation/sewer lines. Town Attorney Kevin Tankersley opened a bid from Milestone Contractors whose base bid was $557,400.

Anita GoodanMembers of the North Judson Town Council and those attending the council’s meeting Monday, June 16 commented on the success of this year’s North Judson Mint Festival. Comments were positive which included the increased attendance, the number of food and merchandise vendors, the variety of activities and the music. Mint Festival committee members also said many people commented to them on how great the festival was.
Culver Town Council Approves Amendment to South West Lake Maxinkuckee Conservancy District Agreement

Anita GoodanThe Culver Town Council members were presented with the third amendment to the agreement with the South West Lake Maxinkuckee Conservancy District when they met June 12. Attorney Sean Surrisi explained that the amendment includes the authorization of the addition of four parcels into the district territory. The addition is within the original agreement of 175 residential lots and will remain under the recommended flow.

Anita GoodanThe North Judson Town Council members will be interviewing two candidates for vacancies on the Planning Commission and BZA. The interviews will take place prior to the next town council meeting on June 16. The council members will soon be meeting with members of the North Judson Park Board to gather opinions on the proposed amenities to the second phase of the North Judson Town Park improvement project.
