The future of a bill that would ban all products containing tetrahydrocannabinol, or THC, teetered on Gov. Greg Abbott’s desk Monday. The last day of the Texas Legislature, Monday was the deadline for Senate Bill 3, which, if passed, would prohibit vapes, gummies and drinks containing any synthetic cannabinoid, which provides consumers similar effects to marijuana. Only Texans approved to use medical marijuana for certain conditions would be able to use low-level THC prescriptions.

Officials voice support for Passenger Rail Funding

This train provides daily travel between Fort Worth and Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, including a stop at the Santa Fe Depot in Gainesville. However, funding for the train is at risk during the current state legislative session. This has prompted many locals to speak out in support of Amtrak and the passenger train system.
