STILLWATER — A group of entomology undergrads from Oklahoma State University spent their first day of spring break digging through the rubble of a home destroyed by wildfires. Officials have offered an estimate of at least 50 homes and structures destroyed or damaged since Friday, Stillwater Fire Chief Terry Essary said early Saturday, adding the number is expected to increase once conditions allow for a full assessment.

A pedestrian fatality involving a train has drawn a large police presence near First Street and Denver Avenue early Monday. Tulsa Police said BNSF Railway officials reported the accident Monday morning. Authorities were working around 11 a.m. to recover the pedestrian's body, Officer Danny Bean said. Investigators are unaware why the individual was on the tracks.
