    Police are investigating a homicide after an altercation inside a home near the University of Tulsa campus erupted into gunfire early Friday. Officers responded around 11:30 a.m. to the house in a "generally quiet neighborhood" about two or three blocks west of TU, Tulsa Police Capt. Richard Meulenberg said at the scene. They found the alleged shooter in the area and took the individual into custody, along with a female who  police said was with him in the 800 block of South Atlanta Avenue.

    The 10-year-old grandson of a woman killed in 2023, in what Broken Arrow police called a murder-suicide, has been identified as a victim of what investigators believe to be another murder-suicide in Broken Arrow. Officers were serving a search warrant around 4:20 p.m. Wednesday to a home in the 100 block of West Roanoke Street, related to the recently reported disappearance of 20-year-old Alyssa Shippy, police said.

    A 10-by-20-foot hole under the concrete spillway near the top of the Lake Waxhoma Dam has re-emerged amid heavy rainfall Wednesday after efforts to patch the hole in 2021 appear to have failed. Officials began pumping water from Lake Waxhoma starting around 11 a.m. Wednesday, according to Jerry Roberts, Osage County Emergency Management director, with the ongoing storms complicating efforts. Areas of Osage County have received 4-5½ inches of rain in just two days, according to Oklahoma Mesonet.
