    OHIO COUNTY, W. Va. (WTRF) – The community is coming together to mourn the loss of local residents who died in Saturday’s flash flooding.  Among the victims are a three-year-old girl and 19-year-old Travis Creighton, both from one of the hardest hit communities.  When you enter Triadelphia, the sign is uprooted from the ground and what were once grassy fields are now covered in debris.  Nearby, The Creighton Family is staying in a hotel because they lost everything.

    OHIO COUNTY, W. Va. (WTRF) – It’s a truly devastating scene in Triadelphia as residents and businesses continue to clean up from Saturday’s flash flood.  One of those businesses is Zambito Flooring.  Employees, local businesses, and other volunteers had their boots on the ground early Tuesday morning scooping nearly six inches of mud out of the building as others loaded dumpsters with destroyed inventory. Owner Ric Zambito says he got a call around 9 p.m. Saturday about the flash flood warning.

    OHIO COUNTY, W.Va. (WTRF) – Residents and businesses are continuing their clean up and recovery efforts after Saturday’s deadly flash flooding. The scene in Triadelphia is absolutely devastating. Sections of the road are completely gone and impassable. People have lost their homes, businesses, cars, and belongings. Among the destroyed businesses is A Journey Within, which has operated in the area for over two decades.

    ELM GROVE, W.Va. (WTRF) – Community response efforts continued Monday afternoon at the Unified Command Center located in the parking lot of the Elm Grove Riesbeck’s.   A company based in Belmont County, Ohio – Gas Field Services, LLC – was at the command center around 9 a.m. Monday morning to begin preparing hot food for first responders, volunteers and victims impacted by the deadly flash flood that ripped through Ohio County on Saturday, June 14.

Marshall County’s Emergency Management team has had their boots on the ground in Ohio County since Sunday morning.
