    Syracuse, N.Y. — A Syracuse man accused of helping his then-girlfriend hide the body of her 5-year-old child pleaded guilty to a gun charge Thursday that will keep him in prison for over a decade. Corrice Parks, 28, pleaded guilty to second-degree criminal possession of a weapon. In exchange, Judge Matthew Doran promised Parks a sentencing range of 10 to 14 years in prison. Doran did not make any promises about how his plea could impact the case involving the child’s death.
