AUSTIN (KXAN) - A fifth person was arrested in connection with a 19-year-old's death that happened in January on Wildhorse Ranch Trail, according to an arrest warrant affidavit. Court records identified that person as 35-year-old Tidis Tyrone Collier. He was booked into the Travis County Jail on a capital murder by terror threat charge. His bond was set at $250,000, according to online jail records. Attorney information was not available for Collier as of Wednesday.

AUSTIN (KXAN) - A city of Austin memo revealed the city's next steps as it works to address a backlog of vehicles that have unpaid active civil parking violations that have resulted in "nearly $7.4 million in unpaid fines."Over the past five years, the city said it did not collect on more than 160,000 unpaid parking tickets. Furthermore, Austin has only issued 36 boot notices since 2022, the memo said.

AUSTIN (KXAN) - On Tuesday, Circuit of the Americas (COTA) on social media announced Garth Brooks, KYGO, and Turnpike Troubadours would headline the Formula 1 MSC Cruises United States Grand Prix from Oct. 17 to Oct. 19. KYGO will perform on Oct. 17, Brooks on Oct. 18, followed by the Turnpike Troubadours on Oct. 19, according to COTA. This performance will happen just after a year of Brooks being inducted into the Austin City Limits Hall of Fame in September 2024.
