AUSTIN (KXAN) - Austin's young leaders and mentors will be honored for their community impact this Saturday during the 26th annual Austin Under 40 Awards. A group of 90 finalists across 18 categories is looking to win in their category as well as take home the Austinite of the Year title. A panel of more than 70 judges, who are both past leaders and prominent in their industry, helps determine who qualifies and ultimately wins.

AUSTIN (KXAN) - Thousands of runners will gather Sunday, May 4, at Vic Mathias Auditorium Shores to raise money for Austin Sunshine Camps. All proceeds from the Austin Sunshine Run go directly to the camps, which provide free overnight summer camp to more than 500 kids in both Zilker Park and at Lake Travis. The run is one of several major fundraisers organized by the Austin Young Men's Business League. The organization has more than 150 active members and has been putting on the camps since 1928.

AUSTIN (KXAN) - Ballet Austin is closing out its season with a rendition of the iconic love story "Romeo and Juliet."Rehearsals are underway now before the production hits the stage at Austin's Long Center May 9-11 during Mother's Day weekend. Tickets range from $20-$125, with performances Friday and Saturday at 7:30 p.m., and Sunday at 3 p.m.Artistic Director Stephen Mills said the dancers rehearse the dozen scenes for six hours each day.
