WOLFEBORO, New Hampshire (WGME) – The ceiling in a New Hampshire classroom collapsed on Friday. The Wolfeboro Fire-Rescue Department says they responded to Carpenter School in Wolfeboro around 10:30 a.m. for a report of a sagging ceiling and light fixtures falling in a classroom on the second floor. Not long after crews arrived, the ceiling collapsed in the classroom. The ceiling in a New Hampshire classroom collapsed on Friday.

BIDDEFORD, Maine (WGME) -- A man was arrested outside Biddeford High School on Friday. Police say he was in possession of a gun. Around 9 a.m., the school resource officer received information from a student about a possible threat. The school then went into lockdown. Police say they arrested 21-year-old Mohammed Hussein Kamaluldeen of Biddeford outside the school a short time later and charged him with possession of a firearm near a school. More charges are possible.

BIDDEFORD, Maine (WGME) -- Students at Biddeford High School are being dismissed for the day after an ‘incident’ near the school prompted a lockdown. Police say the scene is secure. School officials say they are beginning to dismiss students from the high school, the Alternative Pathways Center, and the Center of Technology. Afternoon kindergarten, COT afternoon classes, and high school after-school activities and sports are canceled.

A New Hampshire man, who police say was involved in a deadly shooting in Portland's Morrill's Corner, has turned himself, according to the U.S. Marshals. Kristofer Haken of Londonderry, New Hampshire, was wanted for his role in the 2024 shooting on Forest Avenue that left 54-year-old Susan McHugh of Gray dead, and three others injured. Prosecutors say the shooting happened during a fight between rival motorcycle clubs.
