INDIANAPOLIS — An Anderson man was found guilty of impersonating a homeland security officer and having Molotov cocktails on him. According to court documents, around 2 a.m. on Dec. 12, 2023, a police officer in Ingalls, Indiana, reported to an address that had recently been vandalized multiple times. There were fires set in the driveway and inside the mailbox at that address.

ALLEN COUNTY, Ind. — Five new measles cases have been confirmed in Indiana. The Indiana Department of Health (IDOH) said the newly reported cases are three minors and two adults in Allen County. This now brings the state total to six people in 2025. The initial case was reported earlier this week, officials said, and all six cases are connected to each other. There are currently no known links to outbreaks in any other states.

MOORESVILLE, Ind. — Indiana Conservation Officers have recovered the body of a Mooresville man after he was sucked into a culvertSaturday while trying to clear debris from a private pond. According to Mooresville Fire Department Chief Matt Dalton, around 8:30 a.m. April 5, the Mooresville Fire Department and Brown Township Fire responded to the 11700 block of North Lambert Court, near State Road 42 and North Bunker Hill Road, regarding a person in the water.

TERRE HAUTE, Ind. — A Terre Haute man was arrested after he allegedly led police on a car chase while drunk and kicked a trooper. On Friday, March 28, just before 6:30 p.m., an Indiana State Police (ISP) trooper stopped a vehicle on Maple Street, near 16th Street, after the driver, a 69-year-old man, wasn't wearing his seatbelt.

INDIANAPOLIS — An Indianapolis man has been convicted of child neglect after his "emaciated" daughter's death. Marion County Prosecutor Ryan Mears announced Wednesday that Daron Washington has been convicted of two counts of neglect of a dependent resulting in death for his role in the death of his 4-month-old daughter, Iyari. Washington and Iyari's mother, Tiera Crute, were charged for their roles in their child’s death.
