I have a confession to make that I am not proud of, but I know I can't be the only one to do this. More often than not, I sleep in my contact lenses and I wake up with blurry vision and dry, sticky lenses that won't budge. Starting tomorrow, May 7, 2025, US travelers are expected to have a Real ID (or other acceptable form of identification) for all domestic flights. If you're headed to the airport without your Real ID, you'll still be able to fly. However, your TSA checks might take more time. According to head of Homeland Security Kristi Noem, travelers who aren't Real ID-compliant "may be diverted to a different line, have an extra step" at airport security checkpoints.

Seriously, if you don't have your Real ID yet, your TSA checks might become more complicated soon. Starting tomorrow, May 7, 2025, all US travelers must have a Real ID (or other acceptable form of identification) for all domestic flights. The Real ID deadline has been extended multiple times, but this day seems to be sticking. If you are planning on flying this summer or just traveling in general by plane soon, make sure your driver's license is compliant with the new regulations.
