LORENA, TEXAS (KXXV) — Texas DPS is investigating a crash that killed a Lorena teen and two others Tuesday, May 20, days before graduation. Troopers responded to a two-vehicle crash at 7 a.m. on US Highway 77 just south of the Milam County line. According to preliminary reports, a Toyota Tacoma was traveling southbound on US 77. The truck veered into the northbound lane and collided with a Dodge Ram. All three invidivuals involved were pronounced dead on the scene.
Austin Police charge man in death of Killeen Captain

Posted and last updated KILLEEN, Texas (KXXV) — Austin Police have charged the man in connection to the crash that killed Killeen Fire Captain Marvin Taylor III. Police responded to the 600 block of E. Koenig Lane in Austin around 1 a.m. Sunday, May 11. The driver of an SUV, identified as Rodney Bremby, rear-ended the van driven by Taylor. Taylor was pronounced deceased at the scene. Bremby was arrested and charged with intoxication manslaughter.

KILLEEN, Texas — Killeen city officials announced that Killeen Fire Captain Marvin Taylor III was killed in a car crash early Sunday morning. Taylor had just left an Austin hospital after welcoming his fifth child. Another vehicle hit Taylor while he driving to pick up his other children. "He was a highly respected and decorated member of our Fire Department, serving since 2014 and most recently assigned to the Training Division," reads a release from the city.

COPPERAS COVE, Texas (KXXV) — Copperas Cove police are investigating a murder after responding to a call Saturday morning. They have a suspect in custody. Officers were sent out to a home in the 900 block of Tanner Drive after 11:30 a.m. for reports of a gunshot victim. They found a 31-year-old woman with gunshot wounds. She was sent to the hospital, and later died from her injuries. After investigating the scene and speaking with witnesses, police found a suspect at a nearby hotel.

Officers received a 911 call about a single-vehicle motorcycle crash and were sent out to Roy Reynolds Drive and East Rancier Avenue. They found a man with gunshot wounds. He was taken to the Carl R. Darnall Army Community Hospital and later died from his injuries around 4 a.m. Saturday.

KILLEEN, Texas (KXXV) — One woman is dead after an early morning single-vehicle crash in Killeen Wednesday. Police responded to a the intersection of Veterans Memorial Blvd. and 38th street around 3 a.m. Our Killeen officers found the vehicle on fire, with witnesses performing first-aid on a woman. She was transported to the Carl R. Darnall Medical Center in critical condition. Police say their initial investigation shows a white car was heading eastbound on Veterans Memorial Blvd. at high speed.
