2 1/1 A FISH and chip business which has been going strong for more than 40 years has made it into The Northern Echo's Best Chippy competition for the second year in a row. Mike's Fish Bar, in Newton Aycliffe, is run by Julie Kilding – daughter of the shop's namesake Mike. She said she was delighted to have made the top ten again. Rakesh Kundi runs Darlo Fish Inn, in the Queen Street shopping centre, with his wife, brother-in-law, sister-in-law and father-in-law. Do you remember meeting boyband Northern Line in 2000? Or did you get involved in the protest to keep the youth centre open that same year?
