    A man has described how he 'feels cut off from the world' after he was left paralysed in a crash before being diagnosed with a brain tumour. Former Speedway racer Garry Stead first suffered a seizure in September 2024. The 52-year-old from Holmfirth, was rushed to hospital where his symptoms were initially diagnosed as a stroke caused by a motorbike crash he had in 2007, Yorkshire Live reports. The crash left him paralysed from the waist down.

    A man tried to launch bags full of drugs from a window when police came knocking on his door. Officers attended the property in the Fallowfield on Wednesday (November 27) to carry out an 'arrest attempt'. When they arrived, they saw a man wearing a red top 'throwing multiple bags from a first-floor window'. Police made their way into the house and found the same man in a first-floor bedroom. Inside the bags, they found a 'large amount of cannabis'.

    Police have issued an urgent appeal for help to trace a missing 17-year-old boy who was last seen in Oldham. Kalem was last spotted on Wensleydale Close in the Royton area at around 6.30pm last Monday (November 25). Searches have been underway to track him down in the days since. Police said officers are 'becoming increasingly concerned' about Kalem and 'want to make sure he is safe and well'.

    An aspiring teacher who was tragically found dead in her bedroom at a private mental health unit in Manchester should not have been left alone, a coroner has ruled. 'One-of-a-kind' Leah Taylor was found unresponsive in her room at the Eleanor Hospital, an independent women's mental health facility on Palatine Road in Didsbury, in June last year.
