The person struck by a car on Interstate 25 in Northern Colorado on Monday was armed and fleeing police when he got out of his car, according to the Larimer County Sheriff's Office. The crash happened around 5:30 p.m. Monday near the town of Mead and closed all lanes of the highway for over three hours. The suspect, who police have not yet identified, was pulled over in Loveland but then fled deputies, the sheriff's office said.

A group of veterans and volunteers gathered over the weekend to give back to communities in Colorado as part of the nonprofit "The Mission Continues."The team packed food boxes for individuals and families in need, working together to fight food insecurity in the Denver area along with Food Bank of the Rockies. Although the group is made up primarily of veterans, anyone is welcome to participate.

The Colorado Avalanche says team captain Gabriel Landeskog will rejoin the team on Tuesday. The announcement represents his return to the NHL after a serious knee injury three years ago and his first time playing for the Avs after winning the Stanley Cup in 2022. "Gabriel Landeskog's conditioning loan has been terminated and he will rejoin the Avalanche today," the team said in a social media post Tuesday morning.
