Officials say the project is going faster than anticipated and that all interior decorating should be complete within two weeks. Many fires were set by vandals, but firefighters said several were set by people seeking to get rid of dead grass the easy way.

News-Tribune, April 9, 1925Oliver Mining Co. has constructed a modern moving picture theater 250 feet below the Earth's surface at its Spruce mine in Eveleth. The theater is complete with an orchestra pit, several exits and seating for more than 200 people. Miners took to the space to view a safety film accompanied by music from two accordion players.
