And one who is even capable of making that tradition feel fresh and vital? Just about never. So the work of Jilaine Jones comes as a surprise. As we learned from her exhibition here, which featured twenty works created between 2005 and 2024, Jones makes her tradition new by making it old—by treating it as historical and full of memories.
