SACRAMENTO, California (KVIA) -- The El Paso Chihuahuas held on to beat the Sacramento River Cats 6-5 Sunday afternoon at Sutter Health Park. The victory clinched a series win for the Chihuahuas, who went 4-2 against Sacramento. It was El Paso’s third series win of the season and the first one on the road. Chihuahuas starter Jackson Wolf didn’t allow any earned runs in 4.2 innings Sunday and allowed only one earned run in 9.2 innings in the series.

Cushing Stadium on Saturday. The 2025 NCAA Outdoor Track & Field Championships are June 11-14 at historic Hayward Field.

EL PASO, Texas (KVIA) -- El Paso Locomotive FC suffered their first home defeat in 2025 in a 1-0 loss against Colorado Springs Switchbacks FC in a USL Jägermeister Cup clash at Southwestern University Park. It was a makeover for Locomotive with tonight’s squad featuring ten changes in the starting eleven from the side that took down Las Vegas last weekend. Raul Vazquez made his first professional start in this match while Frank Lopez also started his first match for Locomotive.

EL PASO, Texas (KVIA) -- The boys and girls' red team both claimed 2-1 wins in the inaugural Prep 1 senior All Star game on Wednesday. There were 50 boys and 50 girls who were selected to participate in this showcase. College coaches attended this All Star game, giving these student athletes an opportunity to get exposure. SACRAMENTO, California (KVIA) -- Tirso Ornelas hit a two-run tiebreaking double in the top of the ninth inning Wednesday afternoon in the El Paso Chihuahuas’ 3-1 win over the Sacramento River Cats at Sutter Health Park. The Chihuahuas have won the first two games of the series. Ornelas drove in all three runs for the Chihuahuas, with the first run coming on his home run in the top of the second.
