    The new children’s play from McFly frontman, Tom Fletcher, will promise “laughing in the aisles”, when it visits Leicester. ‘There’s A Monster in Your Show’ has been adapted into theatre from the first book Fletcher ever wrote. Tom, who is also one of the UK’s bestselling authors, wanted the show to be a “high-energy, 50-minute play to cement a love of theatre in pre-school children’s hearts”. He said: “I want kids to feel this is a show that they are a part of, not just coming to watch.

    A new healthcare clinic is set to open in a Leicestershire shopping centre. Community Eyecare is set to open in the Rushes in Loughborough. The former Sale Lab store, next to PureGym, is currently being refitted for the clinic. Community Eyecare is an independent provider which focuses on patients with eye conditions and also services to treat gastrointestinal (stomach and intestines) and hepatological (liver, gallbladder and pancreas) diseases.

    A man alleged to have blocked murder victim Junior Osborne's bicycle, allowing a 16-year-old boy to run up behind him and stab him through the neck, has been described as a “loner” who didn’t “really have many friends”. A jury at Leicester Crown Court heard today (Thursday January 30) that murder-accused Clifford Alvarez was also a “drug addict”.
