A West London mum-of-two has spoken of her shock after being advised by a council officer to 'securely place' her autistic daughter in a room while she collects her specialised buggy, after she raised concerns about the logistics of her living situation. Lauryn Henderson, 25, has also been recommended to look to order more groceries online and to wrap her window panes in bubble wrap and plywood to prevent her daughter causing damage.

The body that owns Hampstead Heath has said it is 'carefully considering' a Supreme Court judgement which could impact Transgender women's access to the Ladies' Pond. The City of London Corporation, which manages eight green spaces including the Heath, added that while it is reviewing the decision, it remains committed to providing 'a safe and enjoyable environment for all'.

Hampstead Heath and Epping Forest may be opened up to more events and other 'income-generating activities' with a potential 'disposal of assets' also on the cards - though the sale of land has been ruled out at this stage. The City of London Corporation, which is the sole trustee of the charities managing eight open spaces including the Heath, has been assessing their governance in a bid to make them more financially independent.

A London NHS Trust has had to temporarily pause the majority of its recruitment and use of agency staff as it attempts to meet tight financial targets. Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust, which runs hospitals including Charing Cross, Hammersmith and St Mary’s, has said the additional £22 billion the Government pumped into the NHS nationally has been absorbed by pay increases, inflation and other pressures.

St Paul’s Green in Hammersmith will be welcoming more events after an application to vary the existing premises licence was approved. Hammersmith and Fulham Council, which is also the licensing authority, had sought to extend the hours events could be held on the green as well as remove a restriction limiting them to three days in October. The local authority had written in its application that the proposal would provide ‘extra income into the council budget and choice of events for residents’.
