OKLAHOMA — Some Oklahoma students have had their student visas revoked by the federal government. Oklahoma State University released the following statement: “Eight OSU student visas have been recently revoked by the federal government. The university is continuing to monitor the situation and is focused on providing appropriate guidance and support to those impacted.” The University of Central Oklahoma also confirmed that four students had their visas revoked.

Oklahomans have just a month to obtain a REAL ID before a major federal deadline. Starting May 7, travelers will need a REAL ID, a valid U.S. passport, or another federally approved form of identification to board domestic flights, access military bases, and enter certain federal buildings. Service Oklahoma is extending appointment hours to help accommodate people’s schedules. They’re available on Monday and Wednesday evenings from 6 to 8 p.m. as well as on Saturdays.

TULSA, Okla. — Police are investigating after one person was shot at a south Tulsa Walmart on Tuesday. According to Tulsa Police, officers responded to a shooting at the Walmart near 81st and Lewis just before 11 p.m. Multiple people reported that a suspect fired shots in the store and left the scene. Once on scene, police said that officers learned an off-duty Pawnee County Sheriff’s deputy working at the Walmart as a security guard confronted the suspect at the scene and shot him.
