Pitt football has a history of upsetting highly-ranked opponents throughout the years. From taking down No. 2 West Virginia in the 2007 Backyard Brawl to eliminating No. 2 Miami from playoff contention in 2017, the Panthers are always looking to takedown top-tier teams. Unfortunately for the Panthers, their next game is against one of the best football teams in the country — No. 4 Florida State. Florida State isn’t just a better football team than Pitt, they also have more to lose if they don’t win out.

Pitt men’s basketball came into their exhibition game against Pitt-Johnstown expecting to perform well while learning new things. They left with a list of things to improve upon ahead of next Monday night’s game against NC A&T. Here are my takeaways from Wednesday’s game against Pitt Johnstown. In the midst of the historical architecture and gleaming chandeliers of Heinz Hall, the classical music of the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra (PSO) swayed listeners with “The Sounds of NOW” during the PSO’s opening weekend from September 29 to October 1. The performance included Russian composer Sergei Rachmaninoff’s Symphony No. 2, written in 1907, and German romantic era composer Robert Schumann’s Piano Concerto in A minor, written in 1845.
