Saturday was another home opener that held so much promise. The rain had stopped, the sun had come out, and Toronto FC scored first! Luca Petrasso is back in Canada, but this time he’ll be wearing blue instead of red. CF Montréal announced on Friday that they’ve signed the former Toronto FC defender to a one-year contract, with options for 2026 and 2027. Petrasso is still only 24 years old. After TFC he joined Orlando City in 2023 but played just 14 matches and 452 minutes for the first team.
