The incident happened in Camberwell Church Street just after 3.40am today (May 23). Officers and London Ambulance Service crews attended and a man was taken to hospital for treatment. His condition was assessed as potentially life threatening. A cordon remains in place this afternoon nearby at Datchelor Place. No arrests have been made as police enquiries continue.

The incident happened in Walsh Crescent just before 7.30pm yesterday (May 21). Officers and London Ambulance Service crews attended and found a man who had been shot. He was taken to hospital for treatment where his injuries were assessed as non life threatening. No arrests have been made as police enquiries continue. A spokesperson for Metropolitan Police said: “Police were called at 19:26hrs on Wednesday, 21 May to reports of a firearm discharge in Croydon.

Four fire engines and around 25 firefighters tackled the blaze in Marsala Road just before 1.45am yesterday (May 21). Part of the buildings ground floor was damaged in the fire. The adults and child were rescued from the house before being assessed at the scene for smoke inhalation. They were taken to hospital for further treatment shortly after. Crews from Lewisham, Greenwich, Lee Green and surrounding fire stations attended.
