Intersect Pride Arts Festival is a highlight of Buffalo‘s Pride month. Mickey Harmon’s labor of love has been a staple of the New York community for eight years. After Harmon and his partner, Jordan Celotto, were murdered in their home last month, the festival is honoring him in the way he would have wanted. They want to expand the art show dramatically. “He worked tirelessly to make this festival a vibrant celebration of Buffalo’s thriving LGBTQIA+ arts community.

Elise Hensley, an Indianapolis Trump supporter who describes herself as a branding expert, recently tried to stir trouble for an Indianapolis jazz bar located in the city’s small gayborhood. She filmed a bartender kicking her out of the establishment and claimed it was because she wore a MAGA hat. While the video quickly racked up millions of views and was pushed by far-right influencers and politicians, Hensley has now hidden her social media accounts and taken down her website. Why?

While it has been scientifically proven by social media that many groups of gay friends look alike, with memes abounding, Instagram user Chris Zou has noticed another trend. As an Asian man in America, he says, it doesn’t surprise him that white men tend to congregate together with a few “token” people of color in photos. What fascinates him is that gay men in New York all seem to be the same age: 33.

Mexico City is a foodie paradise with abundant options throughout the city, from streetside taco stands to 5-star restaurants. There’s a reason why Mexican food is well-known worldwide. Several tourists are shocked when they arrive and discover that the “authentic” Mexican restaurant in their hometown isn’t even close to what is served in actual Mexican restaurants in the country’s capital.

One of the things I hated most was when I sent a pitch & it went into the electronic void. Was it a good pitch but the wrong time? Completely suck? How could I know? I got over 200 pitches (& expected 30) from my call-out, but I can now say I've answered every single one. 🥳

Accepting travel pitches for @gaycities especially from POC, trans folk, & women. Email [email protected] Rate is between $100-250. Bigger projects pay more. Have a Pride in Places series about LGBTQ historic destinations going now. Example: https://t.co/kuZ0dmsRmr
