MEMPHIS, Tenn. — A Job Corps that has provided residential education and job training for young people in Memphis for more than 25 years has been put on pause by the Trump Administration. The Benjamin Hook Job Corps Center in Whitehaven is one of the 99 centers impacted. The center offered young adults ages 16 to 24 vocational and academic training and free housing. Now the center has “paused” operations, and students will be forced to move out.

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Possible human remains were found in Panola County, Mississippi on Thursday, the county sheriff’s office says. A dog found a skull or part of a skull near Barnacre Road and brought it home, authorities said. Residents contacted authorities. The remains have been sent to the state medical examiner’s office to confirm if they are human. The Panola County Sheriff’s Office is investigating.
