MINNEAPOLIS (FOX 9) - The alleged gunman in the Minneapolis mass shooting that left four people dead and another injured is set to appear in court on Monday. James Ortley, 34, is facing several felony charges, including four counts of second-degree murder, and one count each of attempted second-degree murder, and being a felon in possession of a firearm. He is currently being held on a $2 million bond and is scheduled to make his first appearance in court at 1:30 p.m. on Monday.

Three people were killed, and two others were injured during an overnight shooting in Minneapolis, leaving police to investigate a rash of shootings that they believe could be connected. A third fatal shooting occurred that police believe could be in retaliation to the first two incidents - all of which remain under investigation.

Minneapolis shooting The shooting happened just before midnight on April 29 near 25th Street and Bloomington Avenue in Minneapolis. Police arrived at the scene to find five victims, some in a nearby vehicle. Three victims were pronounced dead at the scene, including two men and one woman.

MINNEAPOLIS (FOX 9) - A stretch of the south metro is going to look more like a parking lot this weekend, and drivers should plan accordingly. Interstate 35W closing MnDOT will be shutting down several miles of Interstate 35W (I-35W) starting at 9 p.m. Friday. All lanes in both directions will be closed between Interstate 494 (I-494) and the Burnsville split. The 13-mile detour will send drivers over Interstate 35E (I-35E) and Highway 77.
