A proposal to build a 97.45-acre industrial development along Corral Hollow Road at the north side of the Tracy Hills development went down to defeat on Wednesday after neighbors in nearby residential developments convinced the Tracy Planning Commission to reject the project. The commission had considered the Tracy Hills Commerce Center project at its April 19 meeting, but wanted to take a closer look at traffic impacts and other environmental concerns before taking a vote.

Volunteers with Prologis came to Tracy Interfaith Ministries of Friday for their annual Impact Day, one day during the year when the company’s offices around the world devote a day to community service, putting about 2,700 people into their communities for a day of service. The volunteers came from the Prologis International Park of Commerce, where the company has its local offices, and from other Northern California locations.
