The City of Tracy officially recognized June as LGBTQ+ Pride Month last week, starting with the raising of the Pride flag in front of City Hall and issuance of a proclamation at the June 3 Tracy City Council meeting. On June 2 Mayor Dan Arriola presided over the raising of the Pride Flag in front of Tracy City Hall, a tradition he established in 2019. The cities of Manteca and Stockton also raised the rainbow flag on Monday to start Pride Month.

A new ordinance regulating food trucks gained a Tracy City Council endorsement after the council agreed to delete a provision that would have forced a popular food truck park to shut down for half of the year. Street Eats, which local business owners Eric and Lynda Hawkins opened last August at West Valley Mall, was established as a family-friendly venue that allows an assortment of food trucks to gather in a park-like setting.

The Tracy City Center Association is facing a critical deadline next week. June 15 is the final day for property owners within TCCA, formally known as the Downtown Tracy Community Benefit District, to turn in their petitions for renewal. The 45 property owners in the district, primarily on Central Avenue, 10th Street and Sixth Street, received their petitions a couple months ago.

Delta Charter High School filled the Teranishi Events Center on the New Jerusalem Campus on Friday with family and friends of the Class of 2025 for the first of three commencement ceremonies at the school. The Friday evening program saw 67 students from Delta Charter High School collect their diplomas following speeches from faculty and graduates. Delta Charter Online held its graduation ceremony Saturday morning, and the Delta Keys Charter School graduation was Saturday afternoon.
