SAN DIEGO — Employees of a West Haven company on what was supposed to be a leisurely cruise in San Diego Bay were witnesses to a shocking event with a miraculous ending. The employees of Trace Minerals were in Southern California on a fishing boat in the bay Wednesday as part of an incentive trip. It wasn't long before their fishing excursion turned into a rescue operation after a Navy jet plunged into the water.

SALT LAKE CITY — Israel and Hamas have agreed to a ceasefire in the war in Gaza and the release of 33 hostages. The deal would pause the devastation 15 months after Hamas attacked Israel. The ceasefire raises the possibility of winding down some of the deadliest and most destructive fighting between the bitter enemies. However, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu says the ceasefire isn’t complete yet and final details are still being worked out.

KAYSVILLE, Utah — Kaysville Police Officer Kalawai De Los Santos faced a daunting task earlier this year: stopping a wrong-way driver on I-15. Despite the challenging situation, he was remarkably prepared. "I basically treated this as like a shooting situation," Officer De Los Santos said, "I knew innocent lives were at risk."According to the Utah Department of Transportation (UDOT), six people died in wrong-way crashes in Utah last year.
