Utah-borne online education company Pluralsight on Thursday announced it is laying off 17% of its global workforce and moving its corporate headquarters from Utah to Westlake, Texas. "Over the past year, we have been transforming our business to position the company for sustained growth and to enhance the value we provide for our customers," Pluralsight CEO Erin Gajdalo said in a statement.

SALT LAKE CITY — Utah public health officials on Thursday became aware of two more people diagnosed with measles, bringing the total cases in the state to five. One of the newly identified individuals with measles is a minor and the other is an adult, according to a news release from the Utah Department of Health and Human Services. One person is a Utah County resident and the other is from the southwest health district.

SALT LAKE CITY — Three private sector industry groups drove the Beehive State's 2.5% job growth rate over the past year, accounting for 33,400 of the nearly 43,000 jobs added to the state's economy. The Utah Department of Workforce Services May employment report shows that education and health services experienced the largest year-over-year growth with 18,000 positions, followed by 7,800 jobs in construction and 3,200 in manufacturing.
