SALT LAKE CITY — Two men called to help settle a payment dispute with an escort at a downtown Salt Lake hotel were shot and killed early Tuesday, according to police. By Tuesday afternoon, three people had been arrested in connection with the double homicide. But as of Wednesday, the shooter was not in custody. Police say additional arrests are possible, but detectives are still investigating all possible theories as to what happened, including whether the shooting was done in self-defense.

KANAB — Rescue crews found the body of a man who was overdue from camping in southern Utah. Around noon on Sunday, the Kane County Sheriff's Office received a report of a potential overdue person who had been camping at Coral Pink Sand Dunes State Park. That morning, individuals realized a vehicle had been there for several days but they hadn't seen the owner. Kane County sheriff's deputies discovered Neal Mower, 67, of Ivins, had purchased a one-day pass for the state park on Thursday morning.
