MADISON, Wis. -- While the first significant snowfall of the season came later on the calendar than it has in recent years, it nonetheless blanketed much of southern Wisconsin Thursday. According to Meteorologist Savanna Brito, a slushy 1-4" of snow accumulation was possible with the storm system. Most of the snow will accumulate on grassy surfaces, with the heaviest totals expected near Lake Michigan.
