"Today was extremely rare for Milton tennis as we got our third consecutive 7-0 win," said Milton head coach Ryan Ooms. "As a team we have been really focusing on being consistent during practice and all 10 guys are buying in and the results are starting to follow."

By MATT ELLIS [email protected] ELKHORN - The Elks took advantage of an error in a 10-inning affair to edge Janesville Parker, 5-4, in a non-conference softball game Wednesday. With senior Lilly Keller in the circle for the Vikings in the bottom of the 10th inning, Elk Kendall Kresen got a leadoff walk. A bunt by Liv Ketterhagen resulted in an error by Parker first baseman Emma Terry. Kresen capitalized on the error and scored.

By MATT ELLIS [email protected] JANESVILLE - Janesville Craig managed a mere two hits off Middleton starter Megan Button, and as a whole, struggled to find its rhythm against the Middleton Cardinals in a Big Eight Conference softball Wednesday. While the Cougars were unable to score a run, the Cardinals had 15 runners plant a foot on home plate in a 15-0 win at the Janesville Youth Sports Complex.

Middleton won with a score of 304, Craig placed second with 338 and Madison La Follette placed third with 353. Middleton's Luke Weiss shot the day's best score with a 73.
