After a double-digit loss Thursday against Middleton, the top team of the Big Eight, the Cougars made sure to end the week on a high note with a 4-1 win against Sun Prairie West Friday afternoon at the Janesville Youth Sports Center.

Milton's Trinity Harris went 2-for-3 at the plate to go along with a trio of RBIs. Molly Baker went 3-for-3 with two RBIs and Julia Wolf went 3-for-5 with two RBIs as well.

DeForest lead all teams with 291 and Fort Atkinson finished in second with 315. Milton finished one stroke ahead of Waunakee, which scored 324.

MADISON - The Janesville Parker softball team was down but not out as it entered the seventh inning against Madison Memorial trailing 6-3, but the Vikings made sure to leave Jefferson Middle School with an 8-6 road victory against the Spartans in Big Eight Conference action Tuesday. "Parker scored five in the seventh the first time we played them and the coach asked for five again in the seventh tonight and the team obliged with a big rally," said Parker coach Bob Getka.
