    Texas A&M women’s basketball’s gauntlet of a schedule continued as it suffered its second-straight road loss t after falling to No. 10 Oklahoma 77-62.     While pre-season hype and early-season winning streaks can provide enough to make a program believe in itself, it doesn’t always guarantee success. In the case of Texas A&M football, first-year coach Mike Elko fell just short of a chance at the Southeastern Conference championship and a win over a storied rival, but he might have still provided a spark the Aggies spent years looking for — and spent millions to achieve. Time will be the ultimate judge, but the proof is in the pudding.

    Texas A&M women’s basketball dropped its fifth game of the season to No.13 Kansas State, mainly due to its inability to score and careless turnovers. With Kansas State hitting 40% of its 3-pointers and 50% of its overall field goals, the Aggies’ 19-61 shooting and 18 turnovers ultimately led to their downfall. “I feel like they moved well without the ball,” rising-senior forward Lauren Ware said about the difficulty of guarding Kansas State.

    Texas A&M volleyball defeated No. 8 Arizona State 3-1 on Sunday in the second round of the NCAA volleyball tournament. The Aggies advanced to the Sweet 16 for the first time under coach Jamie Morrison. Last time out, the Aggies defeated the Colorado State Rams 3-1 to advance to the second round for the first time since 2019. Saturday’s match saw a battle of second-year coaches at Desert Financial Arena in Tempe, Arizona.

For Texas A&M football, the day could not have gone any better. Texas A&M secured 24 commits from across the country from the likes of Texas, California, Florida, Utah, Alabama, Tennessee and Arizona. Following Early National Signing Day, the Aggies boast the eighth-ranked recruiting class in the country, according to 247Sports.
