Texas A&M volleyball is riding high after dominating No.8 Arizona State 3-1 in the Regional quarterfinal of the NCAA Tournament. After a disappointing first-round loss in last year’s tournament, the Aggies took on No.7 Wisconsin for a spot in the Regional final. “I think we have grown so much as a team these past two seasons,” junior middle blocker Ifenna Cos-Okpalla said.

Texas A&M women’s basketball dropped its fifth game of the season to No.13 Kansas State, mainly due to its inability to score and careless turnovers. With Kansas State hitting 40% of its 3-pointers and 50% of its overall field goals, the Aggies’ 19-61 shooting and 18 turnovers ultimately led to their downfall. “I feel like they moved well without the ball,” rising-senior forward Lauren Ware said about the difficulty of guarding Kansas State.

Texas A&M volleyball is riding high on a four-game win streak after sweeping South Carolina at the Carolina Volleyball Center on Saturday in its last match before the NCAA Tournament. The Aggies secured 10 wins in SEC play for the first time since 2019 behind junior opposite hitter Logan Lednicky’s 13 kills and junior middle blocker Ifenna Cos-Okpalla’s nine kills. “Oh yeah, it feels great,” coach Jamie Morrison said.

Coming off a 3-0 sweep against the Oklahoma Sooners, Texas A&M volleyball attempted to further its momentum as the Aggies returned to Reed Arena to host the Georgia Bulldogs on Friday. The Aggies did not disappoint their fans, beating the Bulldogs 3-1 thanks to junior setter Maddie Waak’s 41 assists and junior opposite hitter Logan Lednicky’s 15 kills. Lednicky also recorded 6 blocks in the Maroon and White victory, reaching the 250 career blocks milestone.

Texas A&M women’s basketball dropped its second game of the season to No.15 West Virginia, mostly due to carelessness with the basketball. With the Mountaineers knocking down 60% of their three-pointers, the Aggies’ 20 turnovers ultimately led to their downfall. The game opened up on a low note for The Fightin’ Farmers as the Mountaineers jumped out to a 10-4 lead after fifth-year senior forward Kylee Blacksten knocked down a three-pointer.

Coming off of a sweep to Mississippi State last Sunday, Texas A&M volleyball attempted to bounce back as it traveled to Memorial Coliseum in Lexington, Kentucky to take on the No. 13 Kentucky Wildcats on Friday. The Aggies got a strong effort from junior opposite hitter Logan Lednicky’s 10 kills and junior setter Maddie Waak’s 22 assists, but were ultimately taken down by the SEC-leading Wildcats in straight sets, 3-0.
