Texas A&M volleyball defeated No. 8 Arizona State 3-1 on Sunday in the second round of the NCAA volleyball tournament. The Aggies advanced to the Sweet 16 for the first time under coach Jamie Morrison. Last time out, the Aggies defeated the Colorado State Rams 3-1 to advance to the second round for the first time since 2019. Saturday’s match saw a battle of second-year coaches at Desert Financial Arena in Tempe, Arizona.

Texas A&M women’s basketball fell to Ball State, 75-62, on Sunday in the second game of the Aggies’ trip to Paradise Island, Bahamas for the Battle 4 Atlantis. The Aggies and Cardinals have faced off once before. The 1989 matchup saw the Maroon and White take the contest, 81-74. The 2024 meeting saw A&M face Ball State graduate forward Maliyah “MJ” Johnson, who transferred to Ball State after graduating from A&M.

No. 23 Texas A&M men’s basketball hosted the No. 21 Ohio State Buckeyes Friday night at Reed Arena. The matchup marked the second time a Big Ten team has played in Reed Arena, with the first being Penn State in 2005. A Billy Gillispie-led Aggie squad, with coach Buzz Williams as an assistant coach, took down the Nittany Lions, 60-55.

Texas A&M women’s basketball earned its second win of the season when the Western Michigan Broncos came to Reed Arena on Sunday. The matchup marked the first time the two programs have ever faced each other. A&M has struggled offensively so far this season, but scoring was not an issue in Sunday’s win. Both teams got off to a slow start in the first quarter.

In the 2024 NFL Draft, four Aggies were selected, bringing the total number of A&M players currently in the league to 30. The Alabama Crimson Tide rolled into College Station Friday night to test Texas A&M volleyball after its victory over then-No. 7 Texas. The Aggies came out on top 3-1, in front of the ninth largest crowd in A&M volleyball history with 3,390 fans in attendance. A&M started the first set with a bang with senior defensive specialist Ellee Stinson recording a service ace on the first serve of the game.

October 30, 2024 Green Bay Packers rookie linebacker Edgerrin Cooper has been named NFC Defensive Player of the Week following his performance against the Jacksonville Jaguars. Cooper was a fixture on defense for Texas A&M from 2020 to 2023. Cooper recorded nine tackles, a sack and a key forced fumble in Sunday’s matchup despite only playing 34 defensive snaps. The forced fumble gave the Packers the ball near the Jaguars’ goal line and set up a score to give them a 10-point lead.

October 20, 2024 Winner: Indiana backing up the talkEarlier this week, Indiana coach Curt Cignetti was asked about how he attracts recruits to his programs. “It’s pretty simple: I win. Google me,” Cignetti said. The first year head coach for the Hoosiers wasn’t lying. Coming into Week 8 at 6-0, Indiana was easily on pace for its best season in over 30 years. Ok I need to know this honestly from all the @JMUFootball fans. Did you guys truly like Curt Cignetti?

The Texas A&M football team will head off to Starkville, Mississippi at 3:15 p.m. Saturday to take on the Mississippi State Bulldogs in just its second true road game of the season. The Aggies enter the contest as the No. 14 team in the nation and the leaders of the SEC with a 5-1 overall record and a 3-0 mark in conference play. The Bulldogs are the antithesis of the Aggies, sporting a 1-5 overall record and are 0-3 in conference play.
