Texas A&M women’s basketball had lost nine of the last 10 matchups against the No. 2 South Carolina Gamecocks. Thursday’s matchup between the squads continued A&M’s recent losing history when it was defeated again, 90-49. December 9, 2024 The duo of Texas A&M junior defensive linemen Nic Scourton and Shemar Stewart have both officially declared for the 2025 NFL Draft. Scourton and Stewart are projected as first-round picks, according to multiple draft analysts. Stewart, a former five-star recruit from Miami, spent three seasons with the Aggies. Over 37 games, he tallied 65 tackles and 4.5 sacks.

Texas A&M volleyball made its way to Desert Financial Arena in Tempe, Arizona on Friday to begin their NCAA Tournament play against the Colorado State Rams. Coach Jamie Morrison was surely hoping for a longer run than last season’s early first round exit, the Aggies did just that, defeating the Rams, 3-1. The Aggies and Rams have met nine times since 1978, with Colorado State leading the series 6-3. But that was until the Aggies defeated the Rams 3-1 in the Desert.

After a sputtering offensive start threatened to end Texas A&M women’s basketball’s chances, a dominant defensive performance in the second half proved decisive in a 57-45 win against Syracuse in its first game of the SEC/ACC Challenge at Reed Arena on Wednesday. Career-high 14-point performances from both sophomore LSU transfer guard Janae Kent and freshman G Taliyah Parker gave the Aggies’ offense just enough to pull A&M to a 5-4 record on the year. “We knew we needed this win,” Kent said.

No. 20 Texas A&M’s hopes at a trip to Atlanta for the SEC Championship were slashed in a 17-7 defeat to No. 3 Texas in the long-awaited return of the Lone Star Showdown. “Losing our last three conference games and not being able to close the deal and going to Atlanta,” coach Mike Elko said. “Yeah.
