MILWAUKEE — Lindsay Charney is looking for community help after she said her car was stolen on Milwaukee's East Side. Though the car has been recovered, their dog Boo is still missing. "He left the car for not even five minutes; he had the keys with him," Charney said. "He shouldn't have done this, it's a lesson, but he left our dog in the car and the car was stolen."Charney and her husband spent hours searching throughout the East Side on Friday, looking for their missing pet.

OAK CREEK, Wis. — Evrett Bass, Sr., an Oak Creek School District parent, has kept his son home from East Middle School for more than a month after he said his son was a victim of bullying. Bass moved his 12-year-old son EJ into the district after he came to Wisconsin from Nebraska earlier this year. Bass said the problems started soon after. FRANKLIN, Wis. — Multiple bald eagles are nesting near the Root River at 60th and Oakwood in Franklin. David Yuenger spends most of his time there nowadays. He leans on his truck with his foot-long telephoto lens pointed up to the trees. Every time he snaps a picture, it's of one of the eagles. It's drawing attention all over Franklin. "It's our bird, it's a national symbol," Yuenger said. "They're so majestic for such a large bird, they are just nimble." The birds in the nest are breeding.
Riders give feedback as MCTS looks to revamp routes this fall

SOUTH MILWAUKEE, Wis. — Milwaukee County Transit System is looking at changing up some routes this fall through its MCTS Move 2025 program. Before those changes become official, they're looking for community feedback. In April, MCTS held community feedback sessions on their second phase, which includes changes to routes 34, 52, 55, and 58. On Thursday, they met at the South Milwaukee Public Library. It's a vision that started with Liam Mullen, who is fighting for people like his mom, who has beaten cancer three times in her life. The most recent time was when Liam was in middle school. MILWAUKEE — The Rainbow Crosswalk display at Jefferson and Wells in Downtown Milwaukee, which had been up since 2018, is no longer there. Wells underwent construction last year, and the street replacement included new crosswalks. It caused some concerns from the LGBTQ community in Milwaukee, as it is a monument that means a lot. "I remember when they first got installed, and it was a touchy moment for me as a gay man in Milwaukee," Said David Wolz.
